After 18 years of dedicated service as a paid on-call firefighter reaching the rank of captain in June of 2013, I was unjustly terminated without cause by the Township of Essa (https://www.essatownship.on.ca/).
Even the Township claims my termination was "without cause" after nearly two decades of proud service to my community.
I risked my life countless times, ran into burning buildings while others ran out, mastered pump operations to save homes, and stood watch over our town’s safety—only to be discarded without explanation.
I am now taking legal action against the Township of Essa, and they have filed their defense with my lawyer and the courts.
